Tasks For A Video Game Tester

Video game testing is a really sought after job. But most of the people who seek this line of work end up giving up on it as soon as they see they won't be playing video games all day.

Let's be real here, if playing video games all day paid bills I'm sure EVERYONE would be doing it.

So what exactly do video game testers do?

During the game testing cycle, game testers do a bunch of similar tasks to check for bugs and glitches. These tasks are all arranged by the project leader, who assigns each game tester with a different task.

One day you might have to walk around some levels holding a couple of buttons at the same time. Or you ma have to count how many curse words there are during the game. Some days you might have to plug and unplug the remote to see if the game freezes during certain parts.

Video game testers barely get any freedom when it comes to what tasks they have to do. So it's a lot like any other job, except for with video games.
